Tobey Hong Yue Lo is a pianist of remarkable talent and dedication, currently based in Melbourne after honing her craft in Hong Kong. Pursuing a Bachelor of Music degree at the prestigious University of Melbourne, Tobey has demonstrated her prodigious abilities through a series of exceptional performances in competitions and concerts. Her passion for the piano is infectious, and she prides herself on nurturing her students' interest in the instrument, instilling both a deep appreciation for music and the skills needed to succeed in exams and performance. -

PIANO TEACHER
Welcome to the world of music! I am a dedicated music major who graduated from Monash University, driven by an unwavering passion for the piano. My musical journey commenced with a merit in the Grade 8 ABRSM piano exam at a young age, setting the stage for a lifelong commitment to the art of music.
With three years of experience in guiding and inspiring young learners, I bring patience and empathy to my teaching style. My goal is to impart not only music theory but also the joy of performance, helping students connect deeply with the world of music.

Violin Teacher
Layla is a skilled violinist and violist currently studying a Bachelor of Music at Monash University. A graduate of the selective Victorian College of the Arts Secondary School, she has a comprehensive background in orchestral, chamber and solo playing. Layla is an enthusiastic and compassionate teacher, sharing her love of music with her students by equipping them with necessary technical and musical skills, and tailoring lessons to meet their specific goals and needs. She fosters their interest and development in a supportive environment, and welcomes students of all ages and abilities.

Yvonne
Violin Teacher
I am currently studying for a Masters Degree in Music Performance Teaching at the University of Melbourne, majoring in violin. Since I started learning the violin at the age of five, I have accumulated a wealth of playing techniques and teaching experience. In my lessons, I use a variety of strategies to create individualised lesson plans based on the student's learning situation. My teaching style is humorous and patient, and I believe that learning music is not only about mastering technique, but also about developing an interest in and appreciation of music.I warmly welcome students of all ages and abilities.

Jialun
Singing Teacher
Jialun is now a Bachelor of music student studying classical voice at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music. Following Dr Stephen Grant’s guidance, he is currently preparing for a master study programme in Italy.
With his experience and skills in music. Jialun has won many Eisteddfods in Melbourne, including Boroondara Eisteddfod and Eisteddfod by the bay. He was nominated as the recipient for 2023 Victoria Education Global learning awards. Also, he had an opportunity to perform at the gala for Chinese consulate in Melbourne.
With a rather long teaching journey, Jialun has developed a great connection with his students, in his classes, students are encouraged to see their potentials and experience “song performance” other than singing. He is also good at pointing out the technical issues of the students and guiding them through gaining correct muscle memory in singing.

Amy Lin is a Bachelor of Music and Education student at Monash University. She has been playing the piano since she was 7, and is currently supporting students at school for placement. Amy is deeply passionate about working with both children and parents to foster a love for music. Her goal is to help children learn and grow, whether that would be through music theory or piano playing.

Hazel
Guitar and Piano Teacher
Started learning guitar at the age of 13, passed the Central Conservatory of Music Classical Guitar Level 5, graduated from Zhuhai Art Vocational College, majoring in piano performance,Learned from Russian pianist Professor Irina.
Teaching Experience: Over 4 years of teaching experience in guitar and piano, have guided students to participate in and successfully pass domestic examinations.

* Personalized teaching methods, focusing on the basics, and adapting lesson plans according to students' characteristics and needs.
* Emphasise on the combination of music theory knowledge and practical performance to improve students' comprehensive musical literacy.

Teaching philosophy:I believe that music education is not only the teaching of skills, but also the cultivation of emotions and creativity. My teaching methods focus on cultivating students' musical perception and expression, so that they can continue to explore and grow on the path of music.
